Prior to this visit, we also saw the Philippines as part of our recent SE Asia tour. In our opinion, HK is still a far second to the Phils, in terms of its overall warmer glow of genuine warmth, hospitality and graciousness of its people. But for our hotel accommodation vis-a-vis the small price we paid, this ROYAL PLAZA Hotel is IT ! Bar none, it is the BEST we've been to thus far, in all of either Asia or Europe. All the glowing reviews we learned and heard about this hotel were absolutely true! Of course, RPH like any other hotels, is not perfect. (Ex:our toilet got plugged up but they got it fixed, so well and so fast once reported). And oh, the long check-in wait, if you happen to come in prior to its announced 2:00 PM check-in, as we did. But for all the value received, it was surely worth all our wait. To any interested traveler, we suggest you go over all the RPH description / amenities in their website. They were all patently true and remarkable for your money. Anything more you wish or look for, you absolutely have to shell out a lot, lot more as in those comparably trendy 4 or 5-star HK hotels. For the best overal prices a country has to offer, visit the Philippines. But for the best hotel you can arrange to stay in, you can't miss with this Royal Plaza Hotel. KUDOS, too, to Web which found this magnificent hotel package deal for us!

We were delighed with our stay at the Royal Plaza Hotel. The staff was most accomodating. They answered all our questions and gave us wonderful information . Their were numerous options at the buffet breakfast. We opted for the upgrade and were very pleased with the afternoon tea and cocktail hour. It also included our ride back to the airport. If we had any needs they were quickly addressed. The location was wonderful - across the street from the flower market-attached to a shopping mall where we could catch the train. Be sure to buy the Octopus card to use on trains and busses.We were also close the the Ladies Market, the Goldfish street, and other local markets. We felt we ha a wonderful experience.

The hotel is conveniently location on top of the railway station with shoping mall connected to the hotel. In addition to the very good restaurants inside the hotel, there are so many different kinds of restaurants in the mall. The service was good from the day I entered the hotel to the day I left. The room was not clean but also cleaned in a timely manner. In the heart of Kowllon, the location is excellent . Transportation to and from the hotel was great, taxicabs by the front door, buses within walking distance. The only problem is it is a kind of far from the subway station. Definitely worth the money and I will take this hotel again!

The Royal Plaza Hotel is a fantastic hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel itself is conveniently located above the MTR Mong Kong East station making trips on the train a breeze. Its also a very short walking distance from the Mong Kong MTR station and the Prince Edward MTR station. I would stay at this hotel again, I was very happy with the service, location and cost.
